You are depraved. You are unjust and confused. You search for your worth in the opinions of others; you're on an endless quest for man's approval. You're an idolater, murderer, and adulterer; prideful, manipulative, and hopeless. You wake up in the morning and seek to please only yourself. You are blinded by your morality, believing that your good conduct masks your corruption. You find comfort in fleeting objects. You are full of doubt and prone to sin.You are human.

He is God. He is perfect. He is just and right. He is worthy, the One from whom you should seek approval. He is wonderful, faithful, and gracious; victorious, sufficient, and beautiful. He is the One you should please. He is holy. He is comfort, He is sure, and He is powerful. He is hope, and He is merciful. He is loving.

Despite your circumstances, despite your past and your future, despite your condition, He provided a Savior to buy your freedom. Nail pierced hands, bleeding side, His body bruised, my God crucified. A crown of thorns, dying cries, His flesh was torn, my God crucified. 

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 1 Timothy 2:5-6


Believe. Believe, and He calls you beautiful and rejoices over you with singing. He will never leave you nor forsake you. You are treasured, valued, and of great worth. You are marked as His. His name covers all of your guilt, all of your shame. He carries your burdens. He is infinite joy. He loves you...

You are made new.
